Wall hung toilet

Hey! I'm in the middle of a house Reno - and with stores shut ordering lots online...
For wall hung toilets - how do I know which toilet and which cistern can work together? Or will most of the major brands tie together?
Thanks in advance!

I think you're fine to attach most toilets to most frames. Geberit are the market leaders for the frames. I have geberit frames with Vitra toilets.

I would definitely speak to your builder /plumber before ordering though. The bigger issues are around wall structure /depth and also the route the soil pipe takes. You don't want to buy a cistern to find it doesn't fit in your wall or find your soil pipe needs to go directly down through the floor under the toilet to avoid a steel or something.

Soil pipe routes etc wouldn't be an issue if you're on an outside wall and going straight outside by the way. These are more issues for internal walls. Sorry I should have said that.

@nomdeguerrrr thanks! Walls and piping are all good - house has been completely stripped and extended and I've confirmed to them which bathrooms will be having wall hung toilets so builders / plumber could arrange first fix correctly but just a little overwhelmed with the vast amount of options available and not being able to actually see / feel anything

Just had mine planned. Work starts end of March. I've got an Ideal Standard toilet going on a Roca frame. The flush plate has to be the same brand as the frame I think but the bowl doesn't.

@pipsqueakbollock thanks so much!!
