How would you hide these heating pipes?

Our radiator pipes sit on top of the skirting board. They can't be chased into the wall, but I'd like to hide them somehow... because they are a nightmare to clean

Looked into the skirting board covers, but the pipe comes out 35mm from the wall. Any clever ideas welcome!

I would fit rebated skirting boards

@Proudboomer, the only ones I've been able to find have a max rebate of 25mm, so aren't deep enough, sadly (which is a shame, because I found some really nice ones...)

Could you add a strip of wood along the back of the top of the rebate skirting boards to make them deep enough?

You can get plastic conduit, we put some to cover 2 pipes coming down a wall and put some on an outside wall to carry armoured electrical cable.

A good chippie would be able to adjust the back of a rebated skirting board to give extra depth.

You can get MDF pipe boxing in a variety of sizes, and cut the length to fit. We had these pipes through our flat, and the boxing looks much smarter.
