We are fitting a new kitchen and having trouble working out how the doors on the corner unit should be fitted.
They are meant to be hinged in the middle so the door swings out as one piece.
If anyone has this kind of fixing in their kitchen would they be willing to share a picture please.

Thank you so much for replying - that's what I thought it should look like but then one of the doors is too short and there is a gap. There is a piece of moulding but for the life of us we can't work out where it fits.
Is there any chance you could show me a picture of the edge of the cupboard where the door closes to (but with it open)

Is this what you mean?

My husband is a joiner and fits kitchens (not this one though!) He's putting eldest to bed just now but when he comes down I'll ask him if he has any ideas.

Can you post a pic of what you have?. He says it sounds like you have 2 independent doors which should look like this..

The moulding acts as a corner post which gets fixed to one of the doors

So it looks like this when closed over.
Does that sound like what you have?

That last one looks exactly like it - that must be it.
I was under the impression we had one that was hinged but perhaps I was wrong.

@TubbyMcFatfuck
It won't let me post photos but the picture you have shared looks like it
Now I'm trying to work out if the moulding get fitted to the right or left door or does it make no difference?

You need to hold the doors up against the unit to see what one the moulding goes on. There may be pre drilled pilot holes in the moulding that line up with pilot holes in the door and that should tell you what goes where.

No problem, hope you managed to get it sorted.

We've just spent ten minutes holding the moulding bit up against doors - there was the unfortunate moment when DH let go and it hit my head.
We've now worked out which side it goes on and why there is only one handle as if there was one on the left hand side it would hit the other cupboard. We've also fitted the wrong hinges to one door as it should be the wide opening ones.
Steep learning curve here!
