Retrofit dishwasher

Anyone down this? There are plenty of cupboards going spare, wondered if I can just gut one and get a dishwasher fitted. Or is it a nightmare?

It's not usually too difficult, but it depends on a few factors. What's the access like to the water/waste and electricity to the candidate locations?

My mum had it done in her badly designed kitchen she can’t afford to redo, the minute I moved out (thanks) and LOVES it. It was very easy. But as PP said it all depends on access to plumbing
