Does anyone have these installed in their bedrooms? Thinking of getting them in ours, instead of curtains, but wonder if they insulate well against the cold? or do people install them AND also get curtains?

Can't recommend them enough.

old houses always had shutters for insulation & they definitely make a difference - you would notice it was cold in the morning if you didn't close the shutters.
