We’re middle in a chain of 3. Been pressured into selling/moving out so as to not lose our patient buyers.
Moving to family to bridge the gap in a fortnight. Not ideal, but fine.
Our vendor agreed to move into rented at the start of the process. Also agreed to be out by 31st March at latest due to stamp duty. They’ve already lost a sale last year by not finding anywhere to buy.
About to exchange/complete and they are having a massive wobble about it all. Have viewed rented places but not signed up, talked about air B and B but not booked one, worried about moving during a covid lockdown (not sympathetic about that, house has been sold twice during covid....)
We’re moving about 50miles and need to finalise childcare in new location, work commutes, let alone the normal just moving into house jobs.
Is there anything we can do it move things along? Threaten to pull out?, I would, but would be so so pissed off if it all falls through.
Reducing price after 31st March - ‘yes of course this can drag on due to you, but £10k is coming off our offer’
Haven’t seen any other houses we like in 4months of looking, and it’s a very specific area we need due to schools.
Getting to the end of my tether and considering moving in anyway and squatting their house until they leave
Help!
