Valuation came back 20k under we can't afford to absorb that much. What are our options even 10k feels like a lot to stomach to meet in the middle this is with Halifax . We love the house we can't go to another mortgage provider as DH is a contractor what options do we have?

I'm exactly the same.position op! Valuation came in at 20k under! We've tried a different lender, just waiting for the report now. We are 80% ltv and our payments would jump up like yours. We love the house so much, there's nothing else to buy so I'm really stuck of the value is down again. I haven't slept properly since the valuation because I'm so worried! My estate agent said they won't comemdown, but surely every buyer will have the same problem?!

We can't get another lender because DH is a contractor so we haven't got that option we are willing to meet half way. we will probably lose the house but I'm not willing to spend an extra £200 a month for the privilege. I'm guessing we will have to wait to see if anything else comes on this is the 3rd house that would have fallen through its so stressful Then we have had 3 credit searches in the past 12 months . Everything I have seen come up is percentage wise massive compared to pre covid prices so will probably be down valued as well. We feel really trapped.
