Window glazing bars

Hi, we are thinking about getting our windows replaced, the current windows are original and about 25 years old. They have glazing bars, I’m not sure what I think of them? Are they naff, should we replicate them in the new windows or do something different. I like a bit of a feature rather than plain glass. Just interested in opinions and ideas. Thanks all

Personally I would not have them as from the inside I feel they just interfere with the view through them, however they may be more important aesthetically from the outside and 'match' the front door.

I have a similar predicament @Badgerooney. I want to replace my mock georgian bar windows with plain but the whole of our 80s estate has them and I'm worried changing them would affect the house value and/or look odd. I will wait and see what others have to say on the subject. Sorry I'm no help!
