Do these wood tones clash?

I'm worried my doors and stairs are too warm for my chosen floor. I've edited them together on a visualiser so you can see. It would be for the hallway, kitchen/diner and utility. The oak stairs will have a white/grey speckled carpet on and the same carpet will be in the living room which would come off the parquet floor. This is the grey washed oak which I thought would help tie the carpets and doors/stairs in together but I'm not sure if the variant in tone is a bit jarring?

The stairs will also have glass panelling instead of spindles so there will be less wood there.

It looks fine in the kitchen but I do think it jars a bit with the oak staircase and door

Shadowboy · 08/02/2021 13:04

Yes a bit. The kitchen looks fine though. Once it’s painted and furnished you may not notice it.

PragmaticWench · 08/02/2021 13:12

The kitchen isn't too bad but the door and stairs jar.

MariaAngustias · 08/02/2021 16:47

Love the kitchen and it looks beautiful and no problem with it but agree with others that the floor does jar with the oak staircase and door - hmm it would be a shame but would you consider painting them?

ShyTown · 08/02/2021 16:52

I like the kitchen but the floor does clash with the door and stairs.

I'm going to order this floor instead, still not an exact match but a more similar tone so hopefully it'll look good!

Agree with other posters. Good call on the change OP. Not being a perfect match is in my opinion a plus too

bettertimesarecomingnow · 08/02/2021 16:59

Yes the second floor is much better

Bubbles1st · 08/02/2021 17:02

Think the change will suit better. Don't forget everything looks different furnished and it breaks the view up so don't worry to much.

Second floor will look great - good choice!
