House move advice

Hello. Newbie here

We're in the process of buying a house and have received the survey back and it looks a bit scary.

Main issue is wall ties and rendering need doing, which is obviously not cheap. However our main concern is the side wall of the garden abuts a neighbours garden and they've got a huge shed within 30 cms, so the shed would have to be moved to get the work done.

Shed is legally within it's boundaries.

Looking for advice on who's responsibility is it to move the shed, who is responsible for the costs involved and how much would it cost?

Also, if the neighbours become difficult and don't want to move the shed, where do we stand legally

Appreciate your help

Ask your solicitor? There is not a blanket answer here - you may have rights of access for maintenance (and they to you) or you may not.

What did the survey actually say? Was this a specific structural survey our just the quick walk round for valuation? Assuming the works actually need doing then it’s at your cost which you would negotiate on with the vendors
