Stainless steel sink with glass surround and drainer - has anyone had one of these?

Really like the look of this but just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Do they damage easily? Easy to clean? Etc etc...

Had my heart set on a Belfast sink originally, but wouldn’t work with the worktops I’m having, so looking for something a bit different and this looks really nice. Thanks :)

Thank you.
I bought my Vellamo Boiling Tap (Tapwarehouse about £600 online).
I made a wish list based on practicality, storage and aesthetics. Having had a quote from Wickes I found Wren to be alot cheaper and offering the most choice. I chose a young designer and put a deposit down so that Danny was always happy to see me and go through changes.
When the budget hit 9,300 I sat with him and we trimmed it to about 7,200 including fitting. It was mainly down to choice of unit and worktops. He got into a drawer (standing in it) to demonstrate the cheaper range (still ready built). The choice of worktop went from marble to real wood. Couldn’t have the Belfast sink like you, so hence the black glass which is set into a ribalded ‘slate look-alike’ laminate because I, personally, didn’t want the black to stand out starkly. Didn’t want wood around the sink.
My look is open, inviting the outside in, a floor to ceiling wall. A peninsula. And importantly for me was space for art.
Without a Belfast sink I thought the hammered cup handles brought the traditional look back in. I honestly think that taking a few months to finalise the layout and choices worked well for my relationship with the Wren designer. It sealed the sale prices as well as getting any current further reductions. We got to know each other and he pointed out to me the cheaper range.
A year later and the sink has been great, the layout works, love the easy, deep drawers and the white units/wood top sets off my paintings like a gallery, the view to outside creates feel good factor .... v happy with my instant hot cup of tea
I hope you enjoy changing your kitchen

@bagshot32 your kitchen is beautiful. I’m going very traditional with mine - solid pine units painted in F&B paint (cream/off white of some description but haven’t decided which one yet), as I’ve got an existing freestanding larder that I want everything to go with. I’m going for similar handles to you as well.

That sounds lovely. My first idea was traditional with F&B cream with white! However, my kitchen space was only 3.5 x 3.5m and was restricted by budget this time... so kept to the simple white shaker with a grain.
I love old larders etc and spent a lot of time getting inspiration by visiting the Neptune store in York (they have a virtual website if you don’t have a Neptune nearby). Also, spent lots of time looking online at Higham kitchens customer Gallery- beautiful.
My furniture around the house is old. So, hopefully, my mix of modern art with old masters works.
Working round your larder unit will be really interesting. They are so desirable.

I love my larder. It’s painted in F&B Purbeck Stone, which I live as it looks different in different lights. It’s such a useful storage space.

Gorgeous shade (Purbeck Stone)
I have similar in the dining area but goosedown as recommended to me by a friend. Also Egyptian cotton and white. Only moved here 15months ago so still learning what works. Right now planning a bathroom.

@40somethingJBJ Not sure if you’ve already ordered your sink, but I came across this today and remembered your thread... Smile
