We are about to move to a new house and thinking of getting an extra bedroom put in. Realistically, what is it like having a renovation like that done? In terms of time, noise and inconvenience. I'm a SAHP to a 1yo and 3yo, and DH is permanently WFH. So we are all home all the time. Just want to know what I am letting myself in for.
The house is a bungalow which has already been converted to have rooms upstairs. We would just be adding another room up there by knocking together some cupboards and dead end bits of hallway. So removing some walls, adding some new walls, maybe putting in some dormer windows etc.
I like to imagine I'd just keep us all downstairs and let them get on with it. All sorted in a few weeks/months?
