Broken shower

Had a shower ,shut the water off but the pump kept running, the only way to stop it is by unplugging the unit in the airing cupboard.
I really hope it’s an easy fix as money is tight, I’ve had to fork out for a new oven after it broke and a few days later my microwave also stopped working.
Any ideas ?

if the pump kept running after you turned off the mixer, it is probably the flow switch jammed or broken. Might be clogged with limescale. if it is a major brand parts may be available. Probably want a plumber to fit it but I'd get the part first or you may pay for two calls.

With luck it may just screw in.

I was just telling my dd about you ! Thank you Piglet, we are in a very hard water area so just about all my plumbing problems are limescale related 🙄 .

Dd has just had a shower and it’s turning off ok now.
