How to minimise dust spreading through house please?

I know we don't be able to avoid it, but minimising it would be ideal!

We're not having huge amounts of work done, by others' standards. We are having a new window in the study (down a passageway on the first floor), and having the opening made wider and taller. Sash window then being installed, then new radiator, then new carpet and built in study furniture. DH and I are WFH, and the DC are home schooling throughout.

House is 1910s and pebbledashed.

Is there anything I can buy to block up the passageway, to minimise the dust travelling or something along those lines? I don't really know what is available.

I recently used plastic doorways with a zip-open door set within them. They tape to the doorframe or walls and ceiling in a passageway and create a seal against the dust. Be careful what tape you use as some will pull away paintwork.

More difficult if you want to block the passageway itself but when we did our porch we taped a cheap polythene dust sheet to the ceiling and walls using silicone sealing tape and that worked well.

I think you're referring to the same thing as Comtesse has linked to Pragmatic. Looks great, thank you both. So, do they go on instead of the door, or are they additional to the door? And if they're additional, do they go on the outside or inside of the door in the room that the work is being done in?
