Flickering LED spotlights

We moved into our house about 18 months ago and have just had a couple of bulbs go in the kitchen. These are spotlights and it looks like all the current bulbs (that pre-date us moving in) are halogen. We’ve bought several brands of led spotlights but they all flicker. It’s not the fitting, we’ve moved a bulb we know works into it to check.
I know nothing about bulbs and electrics, is this a thing? Can fittings be designed for halogen bulbs (which we can’t seem to find anymore) and not work for LED? Is there a fix?

Not all LEDs are dimmable. If they are not, they will ty to dim but flicker

You can still get halogen GU5.3 bulbs
Might need to buy online though

Our kitchen doesn’t have a dimmer switch, they are just flickering when turned on

This is an old article, but basically you probably need to get in an electrician or good handy person to replace the driver.

Sorry. I don't know where I got the idea they were on a dimmer!

Ah thank you @dementedpixie, I do not know what I was searching for that I couldn’t find those!

And thanks @msgloria, we’ll have to look into that as well as I think we’ll have the same issue with the bathroom lights.

I get halogen spotlight bulbs from Tesco.
