Lowedges in Sheffield, the estate bit - is the area safe enough?

Long shot, but I wonder if anyone knows that area, next to Greenhill which is nice but the other side of Greenhill Parkway where there is a mix of houses and blocks of flats.
It seems fine as it's a quick walk to Greenhill village and buses and Graves Park, and the houses I'm looking at are to the upper edge of it. Families there of course. But I wonder if there are any issues with the small blocks of flats - any anti-social behaviour in the evenings?

There's a similar estate around Reney Ave Greenhill estate where I did see a couple of houses - seem very nice, nice neighbours, but again a number of blocks of flats - hard to tell if anyissues. There was a bit of weed smell in the air at one point, but sadly this can be anywhere.

Unfortunately it's not a very nice area. Just crossing over the Greenhill Parkway makes a massive difference. There is a lot of crime and antisocial behaviour there. Have you tried looking further towards Meadowhead?

thank you littleone
I thought this was as far as Sheffield goes! Grin, afetr that it's Dronfield pretty much. Meadowhead is just too far for me (so is Lowedges really) as I will be using train station and its a hike in traffic (esp by bus).
The value for money is so good there for the size / interior of 3-bed houses I saw online. I wouldn't normally go for an estate but in this case the houses are right on the edge near Parkway. I take it, police presence isn't great when anything dodgy goes on? The estate is not huge so I thought they manage it ok.

I did look at Bradway which is nice but nothing there atm in my budget. Geberally I've been looking around Woodseats or the other side in Hillsborough.

NO!!!!!!!!!!! THE BLOCK OF FLATS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCUM HOLE. i was walking my pet there and a very naughty man with his gangsta adolescents walked up to me and called me the c word. (Crap). I do not suggest even going 5 miles within the area as you will scrape your knee and have the same thing happen to you as it did for me. Lots of love from Big girl Gladys. X.

I don't live in Sheffield anymore, but would choose Hillsborough in a heartbeat over the other areas you've mentioned OP. I think quality of life would be improved for the station, shopping, family stuff. Agree the weed issue is omnipresent.

Where do you need to get to? Hills borough, Malian bridge has tram access to the train station super easy. Agree with @ClaudiaWankleman north Sheffield is better
