Where in Kent for renting?

We're currently searching for a new home to rent, we live in Beckenham near Bromley and love it here, but we can't bear the thought of another summer without a garden for our 3 year old.

We've been looking around Sevenoaks and Tonbridge and have a couple of viewings but just wanted your collective advice on where might also be nice!

Ideally somewhere green and leafy but with a station as I don't drive, and commutable to London. We're looking for 3 bedrooms on a budget of £1400. There's some nice houses around Maidstone for that, but we don't know the area so not sure where to start looking.

Just to add we're not tied to kent, but need to be within an hours drive of Welling/Bexley

How often would you need to get to Bexley? Daily, or just a couple of times a month to visit relatives? We live in Folkestone and love it. ILs live in Bexley and we go up a few times a month (it’s an hour almost to the minute), but would not want to drive it daily. Would definitely recommend Folkestone as a fantastic place to live especially with a young family - tonnes of young families down here from London as it’s fantastic for raising children and your money goes much further than London.

Family in Maidstone too and looked around there when moving out from London but found it all a bit ‘meh’
