Square or circle rainfall shower?

I know some people on here loath them, there is a separate head so it's not the only option but we all love them in this house. But which is nicer to shower with, square or circle? The Vado Velo ones. Pics attached!

Depends on the design of your bathroom. Is your sink, toilet seat round or square?

This is where it gets awkward. We have a square vanity unit, but with a counter top rounded free standing basin. We have a square bath and shower screen. But our patterned tiles have a circle sort of design on them. So it's kind of in between!

Sink and shower screen. It's quite an odd assortment isn't it. I'm hoping it looks ok!

I would probably go for the square head

EllisRoses · 28/01/2021 17:02

Put them all together to make it make sense more. We had picked square head as Everything was nice and square but dh has his heart set on that bloody sink and won't change it. Thought maybe round would blend it more. Glad you disagree with that logic though as I think I prefer the square look wise as long as it's nice to shower with.

Yeh definately Square especially now I see the towel rail. We did our bathroom up last month and went for the round shower head (rainfall) and attachment as it suited our bathroom.

Thank you. I do agree. Just wish I could get rid of the damn circle sink throwing off my clean lines! Thanks..

I read somewhere that square looks better in modern / contemporary bathrooms, so def go for that. You can then get a more rounded head for the second one and it’ll match the rest of your circle in square theme.

mouldyhouse101 · 28/01/2021 18:16

Rounded.

Think squares looks cheap and a bit chav

That sink is very pretty so I can see why he’s so attached to it. But I also love square shower heads so I’m no help whatsoever!

Thank you!

I think square will date. Round is your standard shower head.
But then square loos will probably date too (and aren’t very comfortable)
But if you want very current and now, go for square. Whatever you prefer really.

Laufeythejust · 29/01/2021 09:34

Only on mumsnet could someone think your shower is chavvy Grin

I think a square one will go with the modern look

ChinUpChestOut · 29/01/2021 09:44

You know how on a manicure you can get your nails basically "straight but with rounded sides"? Can you get a square shower head where the corners are softer, slightly rounded?

This expensive Grohe one for example. Or this flipping expensive shower head.

To be honest, I had no idea they would be so expensive....Blush

The shower screen is very square, so a square shower head makes sense with that.

Alternatively, have a slightly less square shower screen (ie a slightly rounded off corner), and a round shower head as that’ll blend with the (very pretty) basin more!
