Cream kitchen. What colour worktops?

Hi

If you have a cream kitchen, what colour are your worktops?

Wood looks lovely but too much maintenance for us.

We’re having quartz, that’s decided but I’m dragging my heels over making a decision on colour because I can’t find one that ‘goes’ plus covid means I can’t browse millions of options in store like I would usually.

Anyone willing to show/tell me about their worktops, doesn’t have to be specifically quartz. Just need some inspiration.

Thank you.

Mine is sage green not cream, but I've got a wood effect laminate which would look just as good with cream.

black work top and a warm red tile looks lovely with cream presses!

I've got a white quartz with grey and mirror speckles. Our unit are dove grey.

DH wanted to go for the grey version of the worktop as he said was too light he preferred a contrast.

I wanted white units with this worktop so he said I cld get my worktop if we got light grey units lol.

Bit of a compromise but I love it now.

I’ve been googling for inspiration and found this. Thought it’s lovely. It’s allegedly cream wood and white quartz (though you can’t tell in the pics).

I’m having this one when I do my kitchen. Going for units in some form of cream coloured F&B paint - not quite decided yet, but I love this copper colour for the worktops.

Picture would help!

I’ve just put in a cream shaker style kitchen with black quartz with shiny speckles in it and a cream subway tile back splash with black ones dotted here and there. I love it so far. Just got to decide on the floor I want to go for, I’m leaning towards oak wooden floor. Going for cream on the walls and sage green and red as accent colours. I’m living in a single story cottage so I’m looking at cottage style. In my previous house I had chestnut wood worktops but it was such hard work to care for and so expensive. Lesson learned.

I have cream units with Bianco City Silestone. It's been great and nothing has stained it.

@Chasingsquirrels
Oo lovely, we had considered a sage kitchen, I’m not very brave though and tend to go for things that are more plain in the hope I’ll like it forever. I might have another look at the sage.

@Princessbanana I see a few with black when googling, not sure I want as dark as black. I’m so indecisive.

@Shelby30 grey is another colour we had considered. Love a sparkly worktop.

@GrumpyHoonMain
That is lovely. Very much the look I think I’m going for. As above, I’m so indecisive. I see a lot of kitchens have white with cream was just worried it would clash. Might have to take another look.

@40somethingJBJ I love the contrast of that with the cream. I’ve explored a slightly brown worktop but still unsure.

@Ladybird69 glad to hear you love it. That’s what I’m worried about, making the wrong decision and not loving it.

@Borogroves I love that. I’ve been looking at the silestone as that’s what our kitchen place stocks. I just can’t pin it down to one colour. So much harder when you can’t view in person.

My heart was set on sage green, but I kept considering cream for that veery reason. Am pleased I went with the sage.

We’ve got caldeira tops with cashmere cupboards. The caldeira has some loving shades in it.

We've got cream cupboards and dark grey worktop - this was when it was just fitted - now got teal accessories for some colour.

I have cream painted units, and a creamy/beigey coloured quartz with a bit of sparkle. More specifically, the units are DIY Kitchens Alabaster, and the worktops are Silestone Crema Stellar. I absolutely love it.

I don't post pics of the house here, but found this image that is very similar. I hesitate to post it, though, because it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as my actual kitchen does in real lifeGrin.

The walls are painted pale blue, and the floors are wood, so the whole thing looks very beachy. Really calming.

Very useful thread, thanks. We have cream units that are 15 years old but still sold in Howdens and can’t justify new ones so looking at worktop.

We had a walnut laminate but feel that’s looking dated now. I like the Calderia linked above.

Redsquirrel5 · 29/01/2021 04:42

I have off white- Dimity painted cupboards and Verde Lana worktops. We love it.

Classicbrunette · 29/01/2021 04:57

Light oak wood.
