Hi,

I'm looking into the GHG - been put off ground source heat pump as it means digging up entire garden; bit put off air source heat pump by need to replace all radiators and replace a new-ish boiler. Now considering Solar Thermal as an 'easy' way of doing something to improve my homes environmental impact & reduce bills. Has anyone else accessed the GHG? What have you had done? Are you happy with it? Anyone got solar thermal system? Grateful for any views - it's making my head hurt...

Unless you live in london my understanding is that it's practically impossible to get anyone to do the work under the scheme. I live in the midlands near to two cities and there are no providers at all in the whole area for solar thermal.

I honestly wouldn't bother with solar thermal, after a few years you may start to encounter problems (from my experience), which can get costly to repair.

I'd go with solar panels over solar thermal.
