Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could please advise what drop cap pendant to get for this shade? We tried the below from made and it doesn't fit through (the hole is approx 5mm wide). Appreciate any advice :)

5mm suggests it is intended to have the flex poked through the hole. and some kind of plastic griper underneath.

what is it made of?

which country did you buy it from?

It is a metal light that we actually inherited in the house (so perhaps an old style of fixing).

@pigletjohn, any suggestions what would work? thank you 🙏

If it is metal, it could be drilled out enough to fit a cable gland.

They mostly fit a 20mm hole but there may be smaller ones.

A cable passing through a plain hole in thin sheet metal is unsafe.

I found this M12 gland that passes though a 12mm hole

20mm black plastic ones are widely available.
