Moving house - location advice please!

Hello! I live on the outskirts of Taunton (Somerset) and my husband and I are looking to move nearer the coast (west Somerset / Devon area) but still on reach of Taunton (I work in Taunton and my husband works near Exeter). I have two children (ages 5 and 7 at school) so I need a good village which is great for children and good primary and (if possible) secondary schools, ideally near to coast / rural walks. We have a budget of around £300k - can anyone please give us any ideas of where is a lovely village in the Somerset / Devon area? TIA ❤️

Do you need public transport? How long are you willing to commute? The coast is lovely (exmoor, quantocks) but the roads are slow and buses infrequent unless you look at minehead. Further across there's lovely places but slow roads until you reach woolacombe. Lynmouth I like but wouldn't fancy the commute.

Hi there, thanks for your reply! We have cars so transport isn’t an issue. We can both travel around 1/2 hour each and will plan to get a dog so will love to be near somewhere with good walks :)
