Hi fun post ahead!
Got big rectangle space in garden, concrete base we want to turn into play area for 3 year old. Dh suggested rubber chips (don't want bark as =cat toilet round here!) But I know our 3 year old loves riding scooter and little car and worry he couldn't do it on the rubber chips.
Any ideas/suggestions??! Those who let me know where they purchased from win extra points! X

We bought 1m x 1m rubber slabs from homebase. £20

Rubber mats or grass mats could work over a membrane if you didn't want grass/weeds growing through them.

We have rubber bark over a concrete base for our play area. It's a very comfy, soft area for the children to play on. I wouldn't think it would be good for riding a bike on though, my kids use their trikes on the grass. I know you can get bonded rubber chips though which would provide a smooth surface for riding on
