Replacing render or other alternative exterior coatings?

Part brick and part rendered house.
One exterior wall has cracks in the render, there is moss coming out of some of the cracks now!

Every so often we get a leaflet through the door from companies selling exterior coatings, ' never need painting' etc.

I'm old enough to remember the stone cladding look in the the 80s.

It's possible we will move in the next few years so I'm concerned that the cracks will put people off buying but equally we have been here 15 years and so is it worth replacing now?

Has anyone had render repaired or replaced lately? Or tried any of the coatings? Any thoughts on cost or durability etc?

Hello,

We have the front of our house rendered and an extension at the back of the property, it was all done originally by previous owners. We had the extension done last year using Terylene, i don't think i would buy a house again with Render as it was costly to replace.
