We're buying a place that needs more work than expected, so are looking to rent for a little while as the work is done, which also breaks the chain as our buyers are keen to be in. However the work is not clear cut; the scale depends on what's uncovered in the fist stage, but it will almost definitely be too long for a fortnight in an AirBnB and not long enough to commit to a standard 6 month lease. Any tips on finding a suitable halfway house (in more way than one), as people on this board often talk renting for 2 or 3 months and it doesn't seem to be a thing round here!
