Green Homes Grant query

I'm a bit confused with the Green Homes Grant, has anyone completed the process that can advise please?

It says you should get 3 quotes but there's only one registered contractor local to me, do you need to submit 3 or can you just have the one?

Also when it says investment required on the 'plan' is that the amount we would have to pay or do we only pay 1/3 of that amount?

We just went with one quote and it was accepted. They don’t ask for proof of obtaining three.

So we’re paying a third of the overall amount on the quote, so whatever the company quotes you’ll pay a third.
It is really complicated but found the person who came round to quote was really helpful at explaining it (we may have got lucky there!)

Thank you upup that's helpful. I really didn't see the point of getting another firm from far away to come just to provide another quote.
