Anyone have floor to ceiling cupboards in their bathroom ?

We have a high ceilinged bathroom with bodged by previous owner homemade very old wooden cupboards. They are useful but ugly and currently that unattractive yellowing white colour.
As a result of a leak we've decided to renovate the whole room, with new bath etc as well as bathroom furniture. We had a quote from an independent bathroom co who wanted to lower the ceiling but we really don't want to lose the airy spacious feeling. We are now considering shaker style cupboards basically where the current ones are. Can you have mdf type cupboards in a bathroom ? Presumably they'll be bespoke to fit the space ......
will it look naff ?

You can get moisture resistant MDF. That would probably be best for a bathroom. I'll follow this thread as we are looking to get a built in cupboard so might get some ideas 😀

Yes we have a bespoke floor to ceiling cupboard in two bathrooms, basically continuing the boxed in cistern to the ceiling. Made of moisture resistant mdf and spray painted.

To avoid yellowing white paint, make sure to use water based paint not oil based.
