Is there such a thing as a shower riser extension?

There are these things you can get which make your shower head come out much further www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extra-shower-head-extension-white-lightweight-see-selling-feedback/154271993175?hash=item23eb53cd57:g:CP0AAOSwli9eyP7a

But I want something that makes the actual riser come out (the thing that screws into the wall, so that you don't have to fanny around with these extension things.

Does such a thing exist? I've googled away and found nothing.

We gave looking for this very thing! Ended up improvising with a cupboard / shelving combo that worked in the space we had. Got very frustrated knowing what I wanted but not finding exactly that!

It's weird isn't it, surely it's a better design than extending the shower head?

How did you improvise, am racking my brains to think how to do it.

How about one of these?

www.byretech.com/acatalog/Shower-Head-Straight-Extension-Arm.html

Would this do it?

PigletJohn · 15/01/2021 18:31

I have a downpour shower head (not handheld) which has a long horizontal arm to bring the head over the centre of the shower enclosure. Also has a ball joint so you can tilt the huge pan head.

It has to be made in one "L" shaped piece because the leverage of the long arm would overstress a joint at the elbow.

It might be made of stainless steel, which is stronger than chromed copper pipe. Don't know.

ScreamingBeans · 16/01/2021 15:23

OMG @NotMeNoNo that's it, that actually extends the holder rather than the shower bit.

The reason I want that, is because I already have one of those shower heads that increase pressure, so I don't really want to have a different shower head.

Brilliant, thank you.

To be fair I think the extension elbow pieces work with the existing shower head.
Watch your eye on that bracket thing btw!

Hmm I have just bought one of the extender pieces which is great but is too heavy to stay in the holder once the water is on. I might buy the linked straight extension.
