We have found a property that is a 4 bedroom detached house with a separate attached 1 bedroom two storey annex. The annex has a large living room, open plan kitchen/breakfast room and one large bedroom to first floor. A door connects the main house to the annex and also has its own entrance from outside.
if we buy this property, we would want to convert the annex into either a spacious kitchen, or living area and also tear down the kitchen in the main house to make either a dinning area, or larger lounge room. It is a very spacious property and there is scope to do a lot in terms of renovation.
I was just wondering if anyone ever converted an attached annex into something else to make it apart of their main house. (if you understand what i mean.) Did you encounter any problems and what were they.
I know renovation in this house will cost a lot but we arent in a rush and most likely will do the bigger ones before we move in. (if we decide to buy this property.)
