Purplebricks - do they check buyer finances?

We are selling house and our buyers have sold via Purplebricks to their buyers and there appears to be issues in the deal.

Does anyone know if Purplebricks checks the financial position of people making offers? Thanks.

When we bought a rental property through Purple Bricks we voluntarily emailed a letter from our solicitor confirming we were cash buyers when we made the offer... Purple Bricks may have asked for confirmation further down the line, but they took our word for it at that point. I only emailed the letter as there were several of us making an offer and the vendor was umming and ahing over which offer to accept.

Thanks very much - that's what I suspect would go on as they get paid the same whether you sell or not so no incentive to check.

They've already made their money from the sale they don't actually care if it completes so expect the bare minimum from them

We’re buying from purple bricks and had to show our MIP and proof of deposit

We had someone from Purple Bricks here to value a few weeks ago. They said this was an add-on, if we wanted it, but they didn’t do it as standard.

I bought through purple pricks 3 years ago and they had to see proof of deposit and MIP

Thanks that's very helpful - sounds like no as standard but can be added on. Not sure our buyer paid for that as story on their sale has changed and I wondering if anyone ever checked the finances.
