How long from this point to exchange and completion?

Our olicitors have inexplicably taken 5 weeks to advise us of an issue in our sale which took us less than 3 hours to resolve.
(Payment of the management pack which is now going to be sent to the buyer and their solicitor within 10 working days)

Our issue now: we need to complete by mid-February at the very latest or chain falls through.

Can anyone share how long it took from receiving the leasehold management pack to exchange and completion?

Worried that this is now extremely unachievable date. And wondering what else we could possibly do to speed the process up.

Surely it would depend on whether any enquiries were raised on receipt of the management pack? Are all searches etc back?

I think it depends how quickly the questions come to you. There were a few things we had to sort out - extra insurance being one. We mostly had questions that were clarifying points (ie. Who pays for roof repair).

Have you done an asbestos survey and fire assessment? We have a flat and were asked for them.
