Extension Above a garage

Hiya everyone

We are buying a house and we want to extend on top of the garage. Has anybody done this and how much were your quotes to do this.

We have a 1 and half garage width and wanted to go back about 8-9 metres.

Any rough ideas on what is realistic price I should have in mind?

With extensions above garages I think the cost ultimately comes down to whether the garage has sufficient foundations or not.
They're not all built with adequate foundations for a 2 story build.

You could be looking in the region of £90k, which is working on the basis of £2k per sq.m, i.e. 5m wide x 9m long. There are so many different factors and variables to consider.
