So I’m still looking into areas to move to from Central London (pref a station that goes into Blackfriars), and I’ve heard varying things about Burgess Hill. Does anyone live there/know what it’s like? I’ve been looking at Haywards Heath but I’m open to anything commutable.

I've lived in Burgess Hill for 30+ years . There are two train stations Wivelsfield and Burgess Hill.We chose to live here because my husband was commuting into the city.We like being 15min on train from Brighton,20mins from Gatwick. There are lot's of new developments property wise.
The town centre re-development seems to have ground to a halt. Waitrose and Tesco for shopping, Sainsburys at Haywards Heath - 10min drive. Burgess Hill has an independent Cinema atm with a multiscreen planned for the new development if it happens.Walking distance to South Downs .Pretty villages and pubs nearby, assuming they survive Covid.
