Total sq metres of a property

I've asked for the total sq metres of a few properties and a few EA dont seem to reply.

Does anyone know how I could work it out myself with the room sizes?

For example this house has the following

18"5x 6"6
8'2x 20"8
10"7x7"5
4"x 3"3

This is 1 floor but what total for that floor?

Easiest way is to convert the feet and inches to inches, then convert to metres.
Then multiply.
Add them to get a total.

Use Google. It will calculate everything if you put in the measurements

In square inches:
221 x 78 = 17238
98 x 248 = 24304
127 x 89 = 11303
48 x 39 = 1716

In square metres
11.121268
15.679969
7.2922435
1.107095

Total:
35.2005755 square m

NB. Don't rely on my figures

Just summing the room sizes won't give you an accurate answer though - there's also corridors and rooms that are too small to have dimensions listed. You need to figure out the dimensions of the building, based on the size and shape of the separate rooms. Do you have a floor plan?

It is listed on the EPC. It might be on the listing, or if not you can find it here.

OK. But given that the OP said the measurements were just for one floor, chances are the house in question does have corridors...

I don't know because the room sizes are GIA whereas you may want gross external area? As in the size of the house external wall to wall? If you just want the internal square footage then adding the rooms together would work

Here is the floor plan I'm just trying to work out if it's a decent sized detached before we go to view it.

The EPC says it 266 sq metres which sounds really big for my area, are these usually pretty accurate?

Sorry - the numbers on that are too small to see. It's definitely possible to work it out from that, but a bit messy on account of all 3 floors being different shapes - otherwise I'd explain how to do it. Happy to calculate it if you can make the numbers visible.
