Plumstead

Hello, I am thinking of moving to Plumstead, highstreet end on camerose Street. Would love abit of insight about the area as I don't know it at all. I can't seem to find much info about highstreet end, only Plumstead common. The house is perfect so I'm seriously considering it. I have 3 children ages 5 12 and 13. Would be great to hear from people that live there or have lived there etc. Thank you in advance, look forward to hearing about the area 🙂

The common is lovely the actual high street isn't great and I wouldn't live on it. The streets off it are quieter and nicer. Bannockburn is an outstanding school and plumstead library has just been refurbished with a lovely children's room. Visit it and see what you think. But do not live on the high street.

It's a road off of the high street towards the end. Not police station end. Its camerose Street. Do you live in Plumstead? I currently live in downham which hasn't got the best reputation but it is nice where I am and I have over 50 neighbours so really quiet at night. Would keep my kids in the schools they are in this end as I work just down the road so schools are not a issue for me. Thank you for your response 🙂

I know both Downham and the area you're proposing moving to and my advice would be stay put. Plumstead is only worth considering near the common and even then with reservations. Best of luck

Thank you. I decided against moving there in the end. Spent few days driving around Plumstead high street end and found out some shocking things. Better the devil you know lol

welling and bexleyheath are nice areas to consider and are very close to Plumstead
