Moving - do movers ever disconnect washing machine?

I've got a house move coming up - only 1 day between exchange and completion. 🤔 I don't know how to properly disconnect the washing machine without making a total ballsup of it and spraying water all over the new owner's laundry.

Does anyone know if movers are ever willing to do this, or will I need to call an urgent plumber for a short notice booking on exchange day?

I've already googled the how-to and looked at the plumbing and doing it myself is a non-starter I'm afraid.

Mine has a cold and hot water intake and there's are valves (small levers) under the sink to shut them off, so you might need to trace them back from the washer.

Sorry, I've reported myself.

The Pickfords call centre will tell you that the movers are not allowed to disconnect the washing machine. My suspicion is that the staff on the ground, faced with a washing machine that needs moving and is still connected, would just disconnect it nine times out of ten. Refusing to do it would only lead to hassle for them and delay the move.

It's very easy if you can move the washing machine. That was my problem. I couldn't move it myself.
