Moving to Leighton Buzzard?

My db and I are in the process of thinking about moving out and Leighton Buzzard seems to be at the top of our list. What can people tell me about living there? Are there any certain areas to avoid/nicer parts? Not snobby at all- just want to feel safe and secure in area we are living in! Any help and information would be greatly appreciated!

Linslade is considered the most desirable part of LB. Older houses / closer to the train station.

Agree, Linslade is the more desirable side of LB and closer walking distance to the train station. Less than 30 minute drive to MK, when shops open you can go there for shopping trips. LB has all the essential shops you need and lovely cafes. We chose LB over Milton Keynes as we liked that we could walk to most places in LB, whereas you really need a car if you lived in MK. Rushmere Country Park is very close by to LB - great for weekend walks.

Those of us who live in Linslade don't consider ourselves part of LBSmile.

We were in a different county up to 1965!

But it is a great place.
