We are looking for a house on a particular estate , approx 9 months ago same house type leasehold selling for 275k exactly the same house I look at right move today and some one has put theres on for 330k even the brand new homes look like better value.
If it continues I think I would rather wait and pay the 7k stamp duty than 55k extra.

A house that's been for sale by me since last year has suddenly gone up by 20k Confused

Prices have gone up, 7.5% on average. Not sure they'll drop by 7.5% after the stamp duty holiday ends though.

If furlough still not finish, mortgage holiday not ending, I am afraid the house market would be very hard to see reduction.
People saved loads from holiday, travelling, eating out, entertainment, which all come to housing market..
I don't see massive job loss compared with 2009, Furlough, mortgage holiday just covered the true impact of this pandemic.

The massive problem is that demand is still higher than the supply and the experts are still predicting price increase but not as high as this year. Increase on the already big increases this year. They say slow growth in prices but growth in any case. Don’t expect to see falling prices. Houses in the United Kingdom are too expensive.
