I know a few estate agents near me are closed in between Christmas and new year so I'm thinking will houses go on rightmove this week or not until Jan 4th now? Any ideas?

Most agents I've dealt with (quite a few) in the last couple of weeks have said they would be closed between Christmas and 4th of January. Those that are open are usually manned with minimal staff so I expect you're looking at most properties coming online to the portals on the 4th. Also, people aren't really searching much right now and viewings aren't being arranged to the same degree either.

Agents here all open, put ours up yesterday, 7 viewings and last 2 this morning and have accepted a great offer this afternoon. Haven’t even ordered the sign board!
Seems to be many more buyers than sellers in our area (Leeds) as they all said to me they’ve been scouring rightmove daily just waiting for stuff to come on. We’ve also been looking for a new house and I’ve had constant calls from agents day/hours before our booked viewings to say they have to cancel as someone got there before us and they’ve accepted an offer and all but one of them went up less than a week ago. It seems to be crazy and estate agent said he’s loading 10 new properties a day in this area onto Rightmove portal.
