Any genius solutions for crazy paving?

We have a LOT of crazy paving. Big patio along with terrace on the top of our garage which joins onto the patio (house is on a hill). We were hoping to lay nice slabs down but are there any easier/ cheaper solutions? I’ve seen a few people on Pinterest painting their crazy paving. Has anyone done this?!

Don't paint it. It starts off looking rubbish and gets progressively worse.

Lift and remove old stone and lay new; lots of people are going for the porcelain ones now, personally I like proper stone.

Other solutions are composite decking, resin bound, coloured concrete...
