We’ve just ordered a new bed for our bedroom and DH is talking about re-painting the floor if we’re disassembling the bed anyway. It’s a small room in a tiny two-up two-down cottage. About 4m x 4m. The woodwork is white, and the walls are currently a very pale blue. Our curtains were a bargain find and are vintage Laura Ashley gold-ish cream with a floral pattern in greens, pinkish reds, and blues. The new (upholstered) bed frame is described as ‘taupe’ but definitely appears more warm and beige-ish (similar to the curtains) than grey toned.
I’ve suddenly got my heart set on painting the floorboards pink. A warm colour like F&B Cinder Rose maybe? It would go nicely with the pinks in the curtains and warm up the room a bit? It’s currently somewhere between grey and blue and looks like a bloody war ship so anything would be an improvement. Am I better going for something more neutral though?
