Storage heater going into safe mode

My storage heater has a few times come up with fault 02 while flashing red and said it's gone into safe mode. It's a designa and I can't find anything in the manual or online dating what the fault is, it's less than 2 months old! Anyone got any ideas?

No, but I wonder if it is overheating? Is anything on top of, or against the heater, such as drying or airing towels or clothes?

Nothing too close, i keep it clear in front of it.

I see it is a Denman's own-brand.

Probably made by the company that makes Glen, Dimplex, Creda. It might be a common controller.
