Plumbing shout-out to @PigletJohn

Typically for me, I've ignored a drippy bath tap until a drip is now a trickle. When other taps in the house are running the bath tap is emitting a high pitched squeal. I thought it was a new washer job, but it seems some taps need ceramic gubbins things instead. Can @PigletJohn save the day again please? these are my taps. TIA

Not pigletjohn but I’ve just fixed this issue with my kitchen tap (again!!!). Tap gland/valve/cartridge. I found this link helpful www.showerright.co.uk/Tap%20Spares/Measuring%20and%20specifying%20a%20tap%20valve.htm

Brilliant! Thank you.

good answer.

you can also ask the retailer for the brandname/maker (they are unlikely to carry spares, but they might know where to get them)

sadly ceramic taps are more troublesome than taps with washers.

Thank you both. I'm going to wait until after Christmas. DP's attempts at DIY this close to Christmas might just be enough to send me over the edge.
