Development impact on garden

Hello. Just wondering what my rights (if any!) are regarding a development on a building that makes up the back boundary of my garden. Developer hasn't talked to us at all, work has started and they are scraping sheets of ivy & plants off the wall into our garden, dumping huge amounts of crap in our garden. As they move further along that will all be dropped on border plants etc.

There is no division except the wall & it was overgrown with plants when we bought it. I'm not attached to the garden as it isnt our creation but this feels very wrong.

Regardless of who is doing the work, no neighbour can dump stuff from their garden into yours. Unless the ivy and so on is planted in your garden and growing over into theirs? In which case they would be obliged to "offer" it back to you, but that wouldn't entitle them to just dump it if you said no.
Time for a word, I think.

Thanks for the reply, I posted in garden law forum & seems to be us who are at fault for letting Ivy grow on the building (We have only just bought so wasn't actually us). Think we'll have to suck it up, but will be erecting a fence right in front of the wall in the New Year. Although not sure what they then do about wall maintenance & actually building.
