Need urgent driveway help!

Any experts here on driveways etc? Our property is garden fronted; it’s the only garden fronted property on the street and all the others have drives. Garden measures the same as their drives.
Looking to apply for permission to get dropped curve. However, our garden measures 15cm under their minimum requirement between house and doorway.
Do we stand any chance of getting this permission given that all the other houses do? Also is this a set distance in UK law or on a council by council basis?

Do you know when the minimum requirement came in compared to when everyone else had their driveways put in? If others have had it approved since the minimum requirement came in I'd say you'd have a good chance with precedent set, but if they've changed the rules since then there's a good chance they'll reject it I'm afraid.

In the London suburb I work in there are houses with and without drives but those without can no longer get them because the criteria changed.

It appears that councils are interested in increasing the number of electric charging points.

Therefore if you suggest you intend to buy an electric car and fit a socket they may look on your application in a favourable light.
