Green kitchen or grey kitchen??

Hello,

As the title suggests, I'm torn between choosing a very pale green or a very pale grey for our new kitchen cabinets. I love the green but am worried that it'll make changing the decor more difficult in the future if we fancy a change, or that I'll get bored of it quicker. It's also much harder to get hold of as most places just do a sage green which I'm not really after.

I really like the grey too, neutral and a bit more interesting than white (not wishing to offend anyone). But will I wish I'd gone for the green once it's in?

We're thinking of having wood-effect LVP on the floor, similar to the one in the photo, we haven't quite decided on the shade yet. Does anyone have any advice!? Or just your opinion of which colour you like best would be helpful!

The white in the photo are possible worktop options, we're thinking of white.

Thank you

Yes bluntness is right.

I'm not wild about pale green, in truth, but the one in that link I could live with for a long time.

Honestly @toomanyoptionsaargh you need to go with your heart on this, it's your kitchen. That mint green is quite fashionable at the moment (Google "neo mint" or "gen z mint") but if you really love it, that's what matters. Will it make your heart sing every time you walk into your kitchen? Then do it!

Howdens have a paintable slab door I think in their new range

I tell a lie, they're the slightly shaker-esque ones

Grey is so done.

Thank you everyone, you're giving me lots of things to think about.

I agree that the first green is too minty, I think I just got excited that someone had a green that wasn't sage!

I think my options are either to get a DiyKitchen in a bespoke colour or just get a white kitchen and paint the walls that colour instead. Is white on white boring? I've got some paint testers coming soon so will hopefully be able to find a green that looks nice.

Must remember to get a non-yellowy floor, too...

@JacobReesMogadishu
What colour paint is that, if you don't mind me asking?

I've no idea sorry. We didn't paint the cupboards. We bought the doors like that from an independent kitchen guy 20 years ago.

One other thing, we had exactly the same kitchen in our previous house and it was what sold the house. The buyer said as soon as they saw the kitchen they had to buy the house. So some people love niche green kitchens. 😁

I would steer clear of a plain white worktop, the marbled one above looks good.
