Kitchen ceiling extractor

Hi. We are looking at installing a Luxair ceiling extractor over our hob. We would like to reduce the noise as much as possible. We are in a bungalow so no problem with space in the loft. The two options we are looking at is their remote motor, where you can move the motor from the unit up to 3m away to act as an inline motor or their brush-less motor which stays attached to the unit. Anyone any experience of either? Thanks.

The effort to extract and push air through a distance of pipe can make for a noisy fan so getting it out of the room seems like a good option. My Stoves one is almost silent with no pipe attached byt as soon as you attach the pipe to the outside (about 3m) then the fan has to work much harder which is more noisy..

OOI, what is the price of the Luxair?

There's some good deals available on the Luxair website at the minute.
