EWS1 Form

Hi
Hoping someone can help.
We are selling our flat and our buyers mortgage company have asked for an EWS1 form.
I have called so many companies and they have all said they can't do it simply because our property doesn't meet the requirements for needing one!
I've tried asking the estate agent to get the buyer to argue it with his mortgage company but they just say they won't do a mortgage without it.
We are ground floor with only one flat above us, no other flats around us and no shared communal areas so it's really more of a maisonette.
Does anyone know how we can get this sorted? It took 8 months for us to get a buyer and really do not want to loose them.
Thank you

You are like a whole load caught up in the Grenfell scandal and the complete over reaction that is now drawing in totally unrelated flats and maisonettes.

The government has been trying to reach an agreement with mortgage companies. I'm not sure where it is so I suggest you write to your MP. Loads of people,e are stuck and cannot sell as the banks value the property at zero without one
