fitted appliances not included in house sale?

We're buying our first home and have hit a bit of a wall and I'm honestly not sure if I'm being unreasonable or not!
The kitchen of the house has fitted appliances (we're talking extractor hood, hob, oven, microwave), all embedded into cabinets and the solid quartz worktop.
The seller has turned around and said they want to charge us over 1k for the built in appliances - I had presumed as they are all built in (and would cost loads to replace!) they were included in the sale.

Anyone else had experiences like this? As its our first home I'm not sure if I'm being naive or if the sellers are just trying it on!

We had our integrated fridge/freezer removed and had a free standing Samsung American style fridge freezer put in its place. 1 year later we sold our house. No way on earth would I have expected the buyer to pay for the Samsung fridge/freezer. Of course we left it. Your sellers are being CFs IMO.

They're probably just trying it on to see if they can get some extra money out of you

When we bought our house the seller said that we could have the leather sofa for £100. However, it was also impossible to get the sofa out of the front room as it was put in there before the bannister was put on the stairs

The only way to get the sofa out is to remove the bespoke bannister or smash the sofa up and remove it that way. The seller ended up just leaving us the sofa for free lol

@rosemarypancakes How much lower than asking did you pay...?

Did you decide what to do, OP?
