Dripping tap

We have just moved house and the en suite tap is dripping at an annoying rate. We are fairly competent DIYers but cannot for the life of us get this tap apart! There is nothing that obviously unscrews or pops out.

Can anyone help? It's a Bristan tap but I can see nothing like it when I google! How do I get at the washer/cartridge or whatever needs replacing?!

Have you got a photo

I think I've seen that knob design. Also available in gold finish I think. Do they wind up and down, or only move by a quarter turn?

Bristan have a good parts supply. If you can't find the name, email them a pic.

@PigletJohn I was hoping you would turn up, thank you!

They turn up and down by half a turn.

I'm assuming the en-suite was done the same time as the house was built so it's 14 years old, doesn't seem to be a current model of tap now.

I'll email Bristan and see what they say.

half a turn suggests they have a ceramic cartridge. These do not last as long as the screw up/down type, but I expect Bristan will be able to provide a cartridge to fit. If you look at the parts list for one of their similar taps, it probably has an "exploded" parts diagram showing how it is assembled, or the help desk should tell you.

I'd change both the hot and the cold as they will be equally old and worn.
